James Thomas – President of CAVCON, is a graduate of Bucknell University with a Civil Engineering degree. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of CAVCON, he specializes in business development, marketing and identifying the needs of clients to offer solutions to best fit their needs.
Jim has spent his career in the construction business owning both union and nonunion companies. His solid understanding of preconstruction and design/build services positions the company to provide the best solution to their clients saving time and money. Jim interfaces with clients, field superintendents and project managers to ensure projects are completed to the client’s satisfaction.
Phillip Frye – Vice President of CAVCON, Phil joined in 2016. He began as a site superintendent and quickly moved into project management. He has completed two Varco Pruden award winning projects in addition to many others. Phil oversees the Varco Pruden in-house estimating and production. Additionally, he is also taking on upper management responsibilities. Phil is active in the Allegheny Chapter of Design Build of America and holds LEED Green associate certification.
James Ray – Jim has been a Project Manager/Construction Manager – since 1970. He has an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Engineering. In his role of Project Manager, Jim ensures schedules are maintained, as well as managing budgets and executing the appropriate contracts. Throughout his career, Jim has managed projects ranging up to 30 million.
Ray Duffy – Ray joined CAVCON in 2013 as a Business Development Manager. In this role, he leads client engagement, strategic partnerships, and market expansion efforts. With a strong background in commercial construction Ray excels at identifying new opportunities, building lasting relationships, and aligning client goals with tailored construction solutions. His commitment to delivering value and fostering trust makes him a vital part of CAVCON’s continued growth and success.
